These Topics will be re-addressed as part of the agenda set for Meeting May 21 - 23, 2010
at the OACC Coaches Conference at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center in Mansfield
At the first Open/General Meeting all in attendance debated, discussed, disputed, voted and agreed upon the following issues as a foundation for the OACC's support and promotion for cheerleading activities and all related parties in the State of Ohio:
- The OACC will not host competitions. We will offer help and assistance to tho Rec leagues, Schools, Colleges or Private studios and gyms who do wish to conduct local competition.
- The OACC does not promote try-outs for peewee, youth & recreation league cheerleaders. We do promote learning leagues as a vehicle for excercise and introductory skills. We do however feel that a mock tryout should be held for varsity level peewee to accostom them to the practice and procedures
- The OACCwill not advocate for cheerleading to become a recognized or sanctioned sport for scholastic cheerleading in Ohio.
